9 DOWN.

Well, WE did it. I definitely have to say WE because I am not sure I would have made it without a good friend to keep me company and entertained. Jennifer and I started a 9 mile run just after sunrise this morning. It went well, actually better than I thought it would. I do have two blisters that began around mile 5. I was breaking in my new shoes, and it may have been prudent not to do so on a longer run, but I wore them for a 3 mile run earlier in the week without difficulty. I was scared the blisters were going to be big by the time I finished the run, but they really are not too bad.

Tomorrow I have a 60 minute bike ride. I had originally thought about heading outside, but after some minor bike maintenance today, I have changed my mind. I am going to bike on the trainer tomorrow so I can practice clipping/unclipping my bike shoes and changing gears without the fear of cars, dogs, or falling. I am going to try to maintain a positive outlook on my cycling this season.
